Many of us know that Gus retired from the Marine Corps this year after 23 ½ years of service. He is currently employed with the Agency for Workforce Innovation.
Donna and Gus have three children, Latrece (26), Teresa (22), and Durell (17), and three grandchildren, Aniyah (5), Keyshawn (3), and Devin (2). The family pet is a six year old Ball Python!
In his 32 years of riding Gus has owned a 80 cc mini bike, 1986 Honda Helix, 1983 and 1985 Yamaha Ventures, and his current 1993 Honda Gold Wing Aspencade. His longest motorcycle trip was from Tallahassee, FL to Stamford, CT. Among his favorite motorcycle roads are the canopy roads in Florida, the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina, and Merritt Parkway in Connecticut.
Gus says, "I made a promise years ago with my Lord and Savor. I ride for Jesus first, using my bike for ministry work first and recreation second." What he likes best about Chapter FL1-A2 is, "the friendly members who have always attracted me to the chapter."
